programa de Ayuda Humanitaria de la Fundación Wiese

What is the Wiese Foundation Humanitarian Aid program?

Every time our country has suffered the onslaught of nature or a disaster of catastrophic proportions, we Peruvians have known how to show solidarity. And we not only talk about men, women, and children, but about institutions that have that sensitivity, and at the same time, energetic voice that evokes the phrase of the poet César Vallejo: “There is, brothers, much to do.”

That’s why the Wiese Foundation promotes entrepreneurship, educational, cultural and assistance programs that have a high social impact. Among these programs is the Humanitarian Aid.

What is the Humanitarian Aid program?

Each year, the Wiese Foundation destines a specific budget to promote a Humanitarian Aid Campaign, which seeks to help alleviate the suffering of vulnerable communities that face emergencies and disasters due to natural disasters. Therefore, this program doesn’t offer money individually for a specific problem.

Humanitarian Aid Programs

Since 2017 the Wiese Foundation manages, leads and articulates the following Humanitarian Aid programs:

Together for the North Coast (2017)

In the first quarter of 2017, the north of our country suffered the devastating effects of huaicos and floods, as a consequence of the El Niño phenomenon. From the first moment, the Wiese Foundation took immediate action, managing a network of humanitarian aid in partnership with various public and private institutions, with the aim of alleviating the suffering of the victims.

Your solidarity shelters (2018)

In 2018, the high Andean areas of Peru suffered a prolonged wave of cold that caused damage to the life of the population, as well as to the economy of communities in almost 11 regions of the country. Given this situation, Wiese Foundation, hand in hand with ADRA Peru and Panamericana TV, promoted a humanitarian aid campaign that provided warm clothing, as well as blanket kits for 1,400 families located in four regions of the country.

Cooking a better life (2019)

This year 2019, as there was not an emergency that exceeds the capacity of the State and that summons the civil society, the Wiese Foundation made the decision to invest this fund in the delivery of certified improved kitchens to 74 homes in the high Andean communities of Calca and Lares, in the Cusco region.

As we can see, the Wiese Foundation Humanitarian Assistance Program gives direct assistance and channels the donations from people and institutions for the most vulnerable communities, only in the face of emergencies and natural disasters.
