Lima May 23.- “We believe in solidarity that is capable of transforming people’s destiny and we work for equality of access to opportunities for all Peruvians.  We consider that this Study Credit Program is a concrete way to prove it.” Augusto Wiese Moreyra, member of the Board of Directors of the Wiese Foundation, said that this institution has allocated a revolving fund of US$ 250,000 to finance the continuity and satisfactory completion of studies of youngsters with limited financial resources who are undertaking technical professional studies.

As part of the program’s actions, the first drive for students from SENATI, from 3rd to 6th semester, of all its sites in Lima, has been launched. Depending on the receptivity, we expect to extend the benefit to other sites of the mentioned institution.

In addition to offering financing at social conditions, the Wiese Foundation Study Credit Program, enhances the socio-emotional skills of its beneficiaries through a component of personalized accompaniment and workshops, thus facilitating its rapid and successful labor insertion, after concluding their studies.

The goal of this alliance, in its first stage, is to grant a first round of 160 credits. In this way, the program seeks to help prevent students from dropping out of school and reduce the great unsatisfied demand existing in the labor market by qualified technical professionals.
