Previous Interventions

Continuing the comprehensive health campaign initiated last October, and in alliance with IREN Norte (Trujillo), we provided more than 130 women from rural centers and settlements in Ascope with access to free bilateral mammography screening exams. The intervention focused on the early and timely detection of breast cancer, which is highly prevalent in the area. For those requiring complementary studies or oncological treatment, free comprehensive care at IREN Norte was secured.

On March 6, a devastating fire destroyed 27 homes in the Nadine Heredia settlement, leaving more than 100 people homeless. In response to this emergency, the Wiese Foundation, in partnership with ADRA Peru, mobilized efforts to address the urgent food needs of the affected families and to provide school supplies for children of school age.

The Wiese Foundation made a significant donation to the San José Marello soup kitchen, located in the district of San Juan de Miraflores in Lima, with the goal of improving the conditions in which lunch services are provided and of promoting the well-being of both beneficiaries and employees.

Heavy rains in Camaná, Arequipa triggered the San Martín ravine, causing a landslide that severely affected Secocha and surrounding areas. According to INDECI, it was one of the deadliest recent disasters. In response, the Wiese Foundation and ADRA Peru provided humanitarian aid to the affected families.

The Wiese Foundation and the League Against Cancer signed a collaboration agreement aimed at joining efforts and taking joint action to remove barriers to primary healthcare access. The initiative promotes greater equity and provides quality medical services for cancer prevention and early detection.

The Wiese Foundation and the Wiñaypaq Educational Association joined forces to permanently resolve the water scarcity affecting the school during dry seasons.

During the COVID-19 emergency, the Wiese Foundation donated 100 high-flow oxygen devices (Wayrachis) and 13 calibrators to EsSalud, helping save lives in hospitals across the country.

The Wiese Foundation donated virtual reality kits to the Pediatric Oncology Department of the Guillermo Almenara Hospital to help reduce pain in children with cancer during their treatments.

In response to the global health emergency caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Wiese Foundation increased its usual annual financial contribution to its Humanitarian Aid program fivefold, aiming to help save lives, support our brave doctors and healthcare personnel, and provide economic support to the most vulnerable families who have not received government aid to face the crisis.

In response to the cold wave of 2018, the Wiese Foundation, together with ADRA Peru and Panamericana TV, provided warm clothing to 3,002 people and blankets kits to 1,400 families in 54 districts of Tacna, Puno, Huancavelica and Cusco.
